Dull Man's Championship Breakfast
This may be enjoyed at any time of day or night.
Have on hand:
one box of dry, flaked cereal at room temperature (wheat is traditional, but any flavor is acceptable); approximately 1-1/2 C. per serving cold milk (any kind will do, we prefer 1%, you will approximately 1/2 C. per serving);
sugar (granulated, white is traditional, you will apply this to taste, but anticipate that you will need approximately one per teaspoon per serving);
bunch of bananas - optional (plan on slicing up to one per serving) Arrange in advance, preferably the night before: one clean bowl per person; one clean spoon per person. At serving time, pour the cereal into the bowl, top with approximately 1/2 C. cold milk, sprinkle one teaspoon sugar atop. If desired, top with one sliced banana.
Enjoy immediately.
Note: for really special occasions, you may choose to substitute another fruit, such as 1/2 C. sliced strawberries, blueberries, or raspberries. These should be washed prior to use, but do not need to be sliced.

How to Boil Water
Required:
WaterPot
Instructions: Pour water into pot.Place pot on stove.Turn on stove, on high.Sit back and enjoy waiting for the water come to a boil.
Tips:
Take care when selecting a pot. Make certain the pot is large enough to hold all of the water you wish to boil. We recommend that a lid be used, placed on top of the pot (after the water is in the pot). With the lid on, the water in the pot boils faster.
We recommend that you select a pot that has a handle. This makes it easier to pour the water out, when needed, once it has boiled.
Bonus tip:
If you can find one, use a glass lid. Then you can watch the water as it works its way up to a boil.
Warning:Boiling water can be dangerous. Take care not to spill it on yourself or anyone else. Boiling water can cause burns.

Rice Pudding Techniques (including special ladling methodology)
From Canada, Greg Pyc writes:
I help my wife when she makes rice pudding. My motive — my "hidden agenda" —is that I desire a specific number of raisins per spoonful. I find that a measuring cup is not specific enough.
I must count the actual number of raisins that go into the pudding. Since it must be exact, I count the raisins until I get 4 exact readings of the number of raisins, in a row. If I count 235, then 236, I start again, unless the next count is 236, in which case I would want two more counts of 236 to be correct. Coy, eh? [That —eh? authenticates that this came from Canada.]
Then it takes me about a half hour to arrange the raisins in the pan in such a way that you get, roughly, plus or minus 2 raisins, the same number of raisins in each spoonful. Of course, how you ladle it out is also important. I developed a special ladle methodology that is exact. Each serving is always exactly the same size, with the exact number of raisins in it and the exact number of raisins in each spoonful exactly the same.
I get excited just thinking about it.
