We haven’t read this book yet. We weren’t going to when we heard it was a thriller that earned one of the high advances for a debut novel and has been snapped up by Hollywood.
But then we read a review of it in The Times (London), May 31, 2002. The reviewer said, “This was, perhaps the least thrilling book that I have read so far this year. It worked better than a mug of Horlicks in sending me to the land of Nod.” That was enough for us. We are going to order it now. You can too.
