Gerona [   ] — clockwise. Two carousels. One goes clockwise. The other wasn't switched on. They are of a fascinatingly traditional (i.e., dated) style. The controls all on view. A baggage handler comes into the hall, turns on the carousel, then goes back outside again to start loading the luggage on the belt. The luggage comes up the feed belt from somewhere below, then rotates nicely in a clockwise fashion. Very squeaky, though, and the baggage was prone to getting jammed at the feed/carousel intersection. [Thanks to Dave Waterson]

Ibiza [IBZ] — counterclockwise. Four carousels. All belt type affairs on a single level, bags are loaded through the other side of a wall which connects to an airside roadway.  Red lights and buzzers accompany the start of each run and the carousels themselves travel in a counter clockwise direction. Malaga [AGP] — counterclockwise [A recent report from Robin Pollard points out that this might be wrong, that he in fact has seen a carousel going clockwise at the Malaga airport. We need to get to the bottom of this. Perhaps Malaya has carousels going both ways.]
